Restore from a Backup

You can use the following process to restore your LogicHub configuration from backup. We strongly encourage you to contact LogicHub for assistance.

  1. Obtain the backup file you want to restore from. If it is stored on S3, you must first decrypt it using the GPG encryption key that you supplied when configuring s3cmd. See Configuring backups to replicate to Amazon S3.

  2. Run the restore script.
    /opt/logichub/scripts/restore.sh

This script restores the backup snapshot to the configuration files and database.

It is important to note that you can restore a backup from an older version of LogicHub software to a machine running newer version. But you cannot do it the other way around -- that is, restoring a backup from a system running a newer version of LogicHub.
