Manage Dashboard

Dashboard enables users to create and personalise their own dashboards through the use of widgets. After creating dashboards, you may need to publish them and use the export/import option to download and import a dashboard from a previously exported file. Let's look at each section in detail.

Set Up Email Notifications for Dashboard Update

Setting up an email notification schedule allows you to make dashboards visible to people in your organisation. Recipients receive an email with a PDF version of the dashboard at the scheduled time.

To set up a schedule for dashboards:

  1. Click the Schedule Report icon from the dashboard or select Schedule from the ... three dots icon on the My Library > Dashboards page.
  2. Enter a name to identify the schedule.
  3. Enter a comma-separated list of email addresses for the recipients.
  4. Enter the date in Cron format, or click Use Regular Scheduler and select the start date, end date, and frequency.
    • For information and examples of Cron format, see Cron time string format. Example: 0 8 1 * *
refers to 8 AM Pacific time on the first day of each month. The minimum repeat frequency for a schedule is 10 minutes.
  5. After you've set the schedule, click Done.
    • The schedule is created and a PDF report of the dashboard is sent according to the schedule.

To view or modify the current schedule for a dashboard:

  1. Click the Schedule Report icon from the dashboard or select Schedule from the ... three dots icon on the My Library > Dashboards page.
  2. In the dialog box, click View Existing Schedules. All of the dashboards that have a schedule are listed. To edit a schedule, click the Edit icon and to delete, click the Delete icon.

Export and Import Dashboards

LogicHub allows you to export a dashboard in JSON format and to import a dashboard from a previously exported file or from the automation library.

  • To export a dashboard in JSON format, open the dashboard and select Download by clicking on the three dots icon for the dashboard. The dashboard is downloaded to your local machine as a JSON file.
  • To export a dashboard report in PDF format, open the dashboard and select Download Report as PDF to download the report to your local system.

Import a Dashboard from a File

  1. To import a previously exported dashboard, open the My Library > Dashboards page and do one of the following:
    • Drag the JSON file to the page.
    • Click Import.
      • The items that the dashboard requires to display all its data (playbooks, connections, streams) are listed as dependencies.
  2. Any items that have naming conflicts with existing items are indicated as requiring resolution.
  3. Click Resolve and select whether to replace the existing item in the system with the imported one of the same name or to rename the imported item so that both are kept.
    • If you select to rename the item, you are prompted to enter a new name.
    • When the dependencies are resolved, click Next to review them and make any changes.
  4. Click Submit.
    • The dashboard is imported and now available for selection on the Dashboards list page, which is accessible via My Library > Dashboards.

Import a Dashboard from the Automation Library

You can import a dashboard from the automation library if it has been published to the content exchange.

  1. Select Automations > Dashboards.
  2. To view the list of dashboards that are available for import, click Global Library.
  3. Search for the dashboard and click Import.
    • The dependencies window opens. Follow the instructions in the previous procedure to resolve dependencies and complete the import.
    • When the import is complete, the dashboard is available for selection on the Dashboards list page.

Publish Dashboards to the Content Exchange

To make a dashboard available to all of the instances in your organization, you can publish it to the content exchange in the automation library.

On the Dashboards list page, click on the ... three dots icon on the dashboard and click Publish.

LogicHub is automatically notified of the publication request for the dashboard and all related playbooks and data. If the dashboard is deemed appropriate to publish globally, it is added to the Global Library section of the automation library. It is then available for import to other user accounts.
